We found this article very interesting and wanted to spread the word! Not that NBC News needs our little blog's help all that much, but one of our goals is to promote the coffee industry at large, and the issue of dementia is also (personally) near and dear to our hearts.

Written by Lindsey Leake, an award-winning health reporter and contributor to NBC News, the story provides a smart and reader-friendly recap of and commentary on the findings, which were recently published in the Journal of the American Medical Association. Here's an excerpt:
In a long-term, observational study of nearly 132,000 healthy adults, daily consumption of two to three cups of caffeinated coffee or one to two cups of tea was associated with lowering dementia risk, slowing cognitive decline and preserving cognitive function.
It should be noted, coffee/caffeine alone won't necessarily keep dementia away, and more studies need to be done. But with an active lifestyle, both mentally and physically, you can give yourself a good chance.
