New year, new you... right? Well, here at Everette's Coffee, we're definitely trying something new in 2026. As of today, we're excited to announce the "Signature Series," our rotating line of single origin specialty coffees!
As you know by now, we make a nice blend or two (or three) over here. We enjoy curating unique flavor profiles that can only be found by combining beans from two different regions of the world. However, for the past year, we've been hankering to expand and give our customers access to more flavors that we love, and a rotating line of single origin coffees is the perfect way to do so.
As the term "single origin" suggests, these coffees (as they're rolled out) will all originate from one location, unlike a blend. And by rotating them throughout the year, we're hoping to give you access to a variety of fun, tasty and different coffee beans that you might not have tried yet.
To kick things off, available now is a delicious Tanzanian Peaberry! The peaberry is very special in the coffee world, since it's rarer than a typical coffee bean. In most coffee cherries, the seed splits into two beans, but the peaberry stays whole and maintains a more ovular shape.

From our import partner, Genuine Origin:
Peaberry coffee is a result of genetic mutation where only one seed develops inside a coffee cherry instead of two. Peaberries are usually smaller, denser, and rounder than regular coffee beans. Around 1 in 9 coffee cherries result in a peaberry; it takes patience to sort these out from the rest of the beans.

As a producer, Tanzania 🇹🇿 is growing rapidly in the coffee world, rivaling its neighbor Kenya in size and production rate. The majority of their Arabica beans are grown on the slopes of Mount Meru and Mount Kilimanjaro in the northeastern part of the country. The climate is cooler, with plenty of rainfall and volcanic soil.
Our Tanzanian Peaberry coffee has a medium body, medium acidity and flavor notes of dark chocolate, black currant, plum and chamomile. We hope you enjoy it, and please check back throughout the year as we roll out more coffees in the Signature Series!
